"More than a Prophet" -- Luke 7:47-50

More Than They Think
A couple of weeks ago, we were introduced to a woman who had many sins, but she knew that because of Jesus, she was changed. She was changed in such a way that her gratitude had no bounds. This led her to crash a fancy party where Jesus was. She washed his feet with her tears, dried them with her hair, and anointed them with expensive oils.

The important people there believed that Jesus couldn’t be a prophet. If he were a prophet he would know that the woman was one of the worst sinners. And a true prophet would never let “that sort of person” touch him.

But as we shall find out today, that Jesus is much “More than a Prophet.”
