Isaiah 5:18 warns against those who draw iniquity with vanity and sin, urging them to make speed and hasten God's work. The warning is intended for all people of God, as it is good for all eternity. If these warnings are not heeded, destruction is present, exposing men to God's wrath and righteous judgments.

The prophet Isaiah warns that those eager to do sin and pursue sin violently will find themselves disappointed and their souls empty. The Lord will cut asunder the bonds of the wicked, leaving them without direction. The scoffers of the last days, who ask for the promise of God's coming, turn to iniquity of vanity and walk after their own lusts.

The prophets are ridiculed for calling God the Holy One of Israel, as they will not believe the revelation of God's wrath against their ungodliness and unrighteousness unless they see it executed. The warning is a warning to those who are hardened in sin and cannot get clear of it.
