The New Bionic Arm Transforms This Girl Into A Disney Princess

A four-year-old girl who was born without a forearm has been transformed into a Disney princess - thanks to a prosthetic arm which features a Frozen-themed design.

Experts have printed Lily-Mai Drummond a 3D replica arm with a snowflake design like the one featured on Queen Elsa's dress in the hit movie.

Lily-Mai was born without the limb due to complications in the womb.

But after having the £1,000 purple glittering prosthetic hand fitted this week, the youngster will now be able to get herself ready for her first day at school in September. She designed her glittery and sparkly "Frozen"-themed arm alongside product designer Mark Bryant and Team Unlimited. The arm is made of vegetable-based plastics that is easy to maintain. Her mother, Hannah Drummond says that Lili-May’s dream of having two hands has finally come true. Being born with an arm missing to the elbow did not discourage young Lily-Mai, but she will now definitely be more independent. Now, she is able to do all the things her friends and siblings do: play outside with her dolls. She shows amazing dexterity and we doubt that there is anything that will stop her now.

Lily-Mai is just starting to use her new bionic hand but she is a fast learner. It is what grips her focus at the moment and Lili-Mai is very excited about it.
In the 20th week of her pregnancy, Hannah Drummond, who is a mother of three, found out her youngest was diagnosed with Amniotic Band Syndrome before she was born.
