Gumnut - was offered between June 2, 2024 through June 9, 2024.

Gumnut is a member of the Reinforce-Mint family.
Gumnut costs 125 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 3, 7 and 10.)
When a zombie reaches Gumnut, it will explode encasing the zombie in sticky bubble gum.
This Gumnut prison has 8,000 hit points. (+1,000 per level. An additional 3,000 at level 10.)
The trapped zombie will block all zombies behind it, effectively stopping the zombie advance.
When given plant food, Gumnut will blow a bubble. This bubble will explode encasing five (5) zombies, prioritizing “dangerous” zombies. (+1 zombie on levels 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10.)
This effect is repeated for each Gumnut on the lawn when Reinforce-Mint is planted.

Commentary:
One would be hard-pressed to name a better stalling plant than Gumnut. Stopping all zombies in a lane and being able to absorb punishment like Tall-nut makes this plant a great staller.

Bottom Line:
As good as this plant is at stalling zombies, it will never eliminate a zombie. Eventually, the zombies will eat through Gumnut's bubblegum prison and continue their advance.

However, on levels where surviving the level is the goal versus eliminating all zombies, Gumnut is an excellent choice.

Gumnut is worth considering where one needs time to complete a Penny's Pursuit objective or to set up defense.
