Global Symbiotic Culture is a greatly needed paradigm shift
to a regenerative future. Eric Drexler, Foresight Institute, many years ago sought input on the looming arrival of Nano Technology, urging people to consider the risks and rewards of such technology, now that genie has been
let out of the bottle.

America is in trouble when it comes to being dependent on 1.5million tons of natural rubber per year imported from five Asian countries, and those
countries are seeing a steady drop in that production, using the Hevea brasiliensis, 'Rubber Tree' clones, they obtained from Brazil.
Due to the use of ammonia and acid to coagulate the latex tapped from those trees, the small landholders in Asia with few of those trees on their land are getting out of producing natural rubber due to the health issues that process poses to their families, and the low price per kilogram on current commodity markets. What happens when demand goes up, and supply goes down, basic economics, the price will go up for available supplies.

Project Overview:

This project is geared to help build a natural rubber industry, in Southern Oregon, in order to show the availability of high density growing systems that reduce water used, while growing the rare Kazakh 'Rubber Root' dandelion (Taraxacum koksagyhz), noted for its content of high quality natural rubber latex in its thick, long roots, and the desert rubber plant, Guayule (Parthenium argentatum), used by the Aztecs long ago for their sacrificial ball games.
