Body cam footage shows police shoot knife-wielding suspect who stabbed officer in Ceres

On May 10, 2024, Ceres Police responded to a disturbance involving 22-year-old Alexander Yepez-Ortega who was armed with a knife and threatening a family member. Yepez-Ortega fled from the location as police officers arrived on scene. Yepez-Ortega was later located hiding in a vehicle and confronted officers with the knife at which point an officer involved shooting occurred.
