Fiscal Fridays: Curing the Bureaucratic Disease of Idaho Health and Welfare

Idaho’s Department of Health and Welfare just hosted a conference to advance “health equity” on your dime. This event featured everything from speakers announcing their pronouns, coloring pages for more neurodivergent attendees, and of course, the buzzword of “equity” sprinkled throughout every presentation. But there is one underlying theme that should concern all Idahoans: “Government programs are the only solution to Idaho’s problems… and we need more!”
This is a common disease of bureaucrats. In this week’s episode of Fiscal Fridays, we will dive into the conference and offer an alternative perspective on the direction the IDHW should take with government programs.
