Indian villagers draw water from dirty pond amid shortage

Villagers in India's Maharashtra state turned to drinking dirty water on Friday (May 31) amid struggles with an intense heatwave and acute water shortage. "We are helpless, " villager Phulkai Belsare said as she drew water from a small pit near a pond to filter and collect the polluted water.
