Looking back on my tendency to play the hero, I see now that I was acting more out of pity than real understanding. Instead of really getting what others needed, I jumped in to 'save' them based on my own assumptions. But is that really helping? How can we move away from trying to be a savior and focus on truly understanding and supporting others?
