Benefits of Grounding:
1. Physical Benefits:
- Firmly planted feet and balanced weight for calm and agile movements.
- Foundation for natural and graceful locomotion, essential in sports and dance.
2. Energetic Benefits:
- Internal focus on facilitating the discharge of electrical current through legs and feet.
- Ensures a free and complete flow of bodily charge, akin to water flowing through a fire hydrant.
3. Psychological Benefits:
- Calmness and security, knowing where we stand in the present moment.
- Confident self-perception, allowing us to take up space and live spontaneously.
- Prevention of mental overstimulation, anxiety, and fears by discharging energy downward.
Two Principles for Grounding:
1. Flexing Your Knees:
- Keeping knees slightly bent to avoid rigidity and lower back issues.
- Acts as shock absorbers and enhances agility.
2. Letting Your Belly Out:
- Allowing the belly to be supple and free during breathing and standing.
- Breaks free from rigid postures, promoting calm and full breathing.
