Remember the Great March of Return in 2018? It Has Never Been About Hamas

Over 6,000 unarmed demonstrators were shot by Israeli military snipers during protests at the Gaza separation fence up until December 31, 2018. A commission's investigation found that 189 Palestinians were killed during these protests, 183 by live ammunition. Among the deceased were 35 children, three paramedics, and two journalists. Additionally, 6,106 Palestinians were injured by live rounds, and 3,098 by other means such as rubber bullets or tear gas canisters. On the Israeli side, four soldiers were injured and one was killed, although not directly at the protest sites.
