Angry Monkey Clobbers And Throws Around Camera

This video is not necessarily funny, though it did make us chuckle. However, it is interesting and we figured that you might like it as well. The video is from the perspective of the camera. Somehow a pet monkey has found the camera and either managed to turn it on or it was left on by someone else. The monkey does not appear to like this camera as he keeps pounding it and throwing it around a house. Clearly, this monkey is not here for the camera life.

It appears in the video that the monkey is probably a capuchin, one of the few monkeys that are commonly pets for people. Though the American Veterinary Medical Association does not support monkey ownership. This is mostly because monkeys can pass infectious diseases between monkeys and humans. In the meantime, lets learn about capuchins. Capuchin monkeys are native to South America and generally weigh between 9 and 12 pounds with a total body length between 12 and 22 inches. To own one, you need a permit and some states have banned pet primates. Certain vets won’t treat illegal pet monkeys and might report them.

Similarly, to parrots, captive capuchins can have a life expectancy of up to 45 years or older. So, these little guys are pets for life. Capuchin monkeys are also high maintenance pets. Younger capuchins are willing to wear diapers but older ones are not. They also have a tendency to throw feces if they are bored or annoyed. Interestingly, capuchins will waste food if they are given too much. We read that you don’t actually have to give them much but their food should be pre-cut to fit in their tiny hands. Also, capuchins can eat small amounts of cooked meats! We did not know that.
