Baby Goat Screams Like A Human Man

When you are kid you think of the goat noise as being a “bleat” or for some confuse children a “baa”. So, it is quite surprising to grow up and see memes and videos of goats where they scream and it sounds like a human man yelling. In some cases, it is very disturbing. We were curious about why goats yell the way that they do. So, as with many of these blogs we did a little bit of research on goats and screaming. There are some calls that you might expect a goat to make from calling their mothers or moms calling for their babies. They also yell if they are expecting to be fed, almost like an excitement yell. Some goats just like to yell if they are being touched. We figured that it might be kind like the goats saying no. And, we suppose, good for those goats for speaking up for themselves.

According to some experts, goats sometimes just like screaming. It’s kind of a “I just felt like doing it” thing. Some reading did reveal that not every species of goat likes to scream. One species of goat called the Nubian, is known to be one of the more vocal species of goats. They will scream for anything from boredom to hunger to excitement to distress. They just like to yell. To be honest, it reminds of some of the chatty-cathys we know in our human lives. Of course, they probably don’t yell as much. Or so we’d like to believe.
