Ingredients:
. Yogurt mixture
2 cups yogurt( thick & sour)
1 cup besan (chickpea flour)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4th tsp turmeric
Mix together everything
For gravy
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 onion (blended into paste with 2 green chillies)
1 tomatoe (blended)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp red chilli
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli flakes
4 green chillies
- For Pakoray
2 small onion sliced
1 potatoe chopped
1 n half cups besan
Water just a little
1 tsp each of salt, red chilli, cumin &coriander seeds, and
chaat masala
Mix everything, then add little water to form the pakora
batter. Fry pakoras till golden brown.
= For Tarka
Half cup oil
1tsp cumin seeds
1 karri patta
1/4th tsp kashmiri lal mirch(for good color)
4-5 sabat laal mirch(or button chillies)
In a pan add oil and all the mentioned ingredients, let it
splatter for one minute, then add directly into the
prepared Karrhi.
METHOD:
n a pot add oil, cumin seeds, let them splatter for a
minute, then add onion paste, saute, add tomatoe paste
then add all the spices mentioned. Cook till oil separates
Now add yogurt mixture. Give it a mix. Then add 10 cups
water(2 litres), add green chillies. Bring it to a boil at high
flame, keep stirring, then lower the flame and let it cook
for around 35-40 minutes till it thickens
Fry the pakoras and add into the Karrhi directly. And then
add the prepared Tarka.
It's ready
