Adorable baby elephant loves fooling around in slippery mud

The video shows the amusing sight of a cute baby elephant, having the time of its life while fooling around in the slippery mud.
It was during a recent safari in the Kruger National Park that we came across a small herd of elephants. It was during the heat of the day and majority of the herd was gathered around a mud wallow. Elephants love mud during the heat of the day, splashing the mud onto their bodies that helps them to cool down. The only thing that loves mud more than an adult elephant is a baby elephant, and it is always a huge treat to watch. While the mother elephant was standing in the mud wallow, splashing mud over herself using her trunk, her baby thought it was a good time to dive in and get totally covered with mud. While baby elephants can’t use their trunks yet to splash mud over themselves, they normally just dive in and roll around to cover their bodies with the mud. As seen in this video, baby elephants just love playing and fooling around in the mud while the adults are busy. This little elephant was slipping and sliding all around in the mud wallow and it was loving it. The baby elephant would roll onto its sides in the mud and sometimes even going head first into the mud. It was so funny to watch this adorable baby elephant having so much fun. When it was time to get out it was even funnier to watch how the baby elephant was slipping and sliding a few times before it managed to get out and quickly join up with its mother before disappearing back into the bush. It was incredible to see how a baby elephant’s love for the mud made for such entertaining viewing.
