US Nurse Reveals Denied Organ Transplants for Unvaccinated
American frontline nurse Nicole Sirotek exposes that people are still being denied organ transplants for not being vaccinated against COVID-19, even though mandates have been dropped and COVID-19 is now considered similar to the flu. Sirotek provides 2024 patient denial papers as evidence, highlighting the ongoing discrimination based on vaccination status. The guidelines, based on the American Society of Transplantation and CDC, still require lung transplant patients to be fully vaccinated. Despite the drop in mandates, the letter dated May 16, 2024, shows that unvaccinated patients are still being denied life-saving transplants.
Nicole Sirotek's Statement:
“Even though the mandates have been dropped, even though it's considered the flu now, they're still requiring it for organ transplants. Now mind you, you can donate organs if you didn't get it, but you cannot receive organs if you didn't get it. Here’s a letter from a patient who was rejected because they don't have the COVID-19 vaccine. Based on guidance from the American Society of Transplantation and Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, we require all lung transplant patients receive full vaccination against COVID-19. At this current time, you indicated you did not receive a COVID-19 vaccine. If you want to be considered for a lung evaluation, you will need to obtain the vaccine and provide proof that it has been obtained. This letter is dated May 16, 2024. We're still discriminating against people for organs because they don't have the vaccine that has been proven to have adverse side effects, doesn't stop transmission, doesn't reduce hospitalization, and doesn't reduce symptom severity. What are your thoughts on this? Are you going to donate your organs because you can't receive them? What do you plan on doing?”
To provide further context, COVID-19 has been a global pandemic since early 2020, causing widespread illness and death. Governments and health organizations worldwide implemented vaccine mandates to curb the spread of the virus and reduce severe cases. Vaccines were initially believed to provide significant protection against transmission and severe disease. However, over time, data emerged showing that vaccinated individuals could still contract and spread COVID-19, leading to debates over the efficacy and necessity of vaccine mandates. Despite this, certain medical guidelines, such as those for organ transplants, continue to require vaccination, sparking controversy and discussions about medical ethics and patient rights.
