The Golden Bowl is a 1972 British television series which originally aired on BBC 2 in six episodes. It is an adaptation of the 1904 novel The Golden Bowl by Henry James. Dramatised by Jack Pulman, produced by Martin Lisemore and directed by James Cellan Jones.

Set in England, this complex, intense study of marriage and adultery completes what some critics have called the "major phase" of James' career. The Golden Bowl explores the tangle of interrelationships between a father and daughter and their respective spouses.

Episode 1: In 19th century London, a wealthy American, his daughter and the latter's best friend meet an Italian prince.
