Lakon Typoe-8 News hip for Elite Dangerous Commanders!

The Lakon Type-8 is a new ship introduced in Elite Dangerous. It's not a variant of an existing ship but a completely new design from Lakon. Frontier Developments, the makers of the game, haven't released all the details about the Type-8 yet, but here's what we know so far:

Lakon Freighter - The Type-8 is designed to be a large hauling ship, similar in function to the Type-9 but with a few key differences.
Medium Landing Pad Compatibility - One of the biggest advantages of the Type-8 is that it will be able to land on medium landing pads, despite its large size. This makes it much more versatile than the Type-9, which can only land on large landing pads. This is a major benefit as most smaller surface ports and orbital outposts only have medium pads available.
Supercruise Overcharge - Like the Python Mark II, the Type-8 will be supercruise overcharge enabled. This will allow it to jump between systems much faster than other ships of its size.
Industrial Aesthetics - The Type-8 has a very industrial look to it, with a blocky design and large engines. The cockpit is located at the front of the ship, in the Lakon tradition. The forward arms of the ship will house many of the new ship's hardpoints.
Unconfirmed Details - Frontier Developments has not yet released any information on the Type-8's internal compartments, optional modules, or weapons loadout.
