Millions of South Africans stood in long lines on Wednesday (May 29), determined to exercise their hard-won democratic rights in the country's most competitive election that could see the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party lose its majority after 30 years in power. Well after dark, voters were still forming miles-long queues to cast their ballots.
