Rest and belief; how are these two words connected? Eleven times in Hebrews Chapters 3 & 4 the word "rest" is mentioned, in particular, entering rest. If rest and belief are tied together, Amy teaches us how unbelief can have a negative impact on our life. What happened to Moses's generation? Were they able to find rest in the Promised Land or did their unbelief harden their hearts and lead them to disobedience? Even though this generation was a witness to God's power and Word, they lacked faith. Are you believing in God's promises or do you still have unbelief? Has your active (vs. passive) faith allowed you to enter into His rest?
