Around 6:30 on May 17 on Highway 29 in the town of Lafayette, a Chippewa County sheriff's deputy and patrol sergeant were on scene of a crash when one was nearly hit by a passing car.
In the video, you can see the car start in the left line, but swerves into the right lane so it doesn't hit the slowing car in front of it. Luckily, no one was hurt.
Chippewa County Sheriff Travis Hakes sent out the video as a cautionary tale. He asks that everyone pay attention and slow down when you see emergency vehicles on the side of the road.
