The Kent County Sheriff's Office has released dash camera video showing the moment Riley Doggett, 17, of Wyoming, was hit by a patrol car while fleeing from a stolen vehicle after a police chase on April 8, 2024. Doggertt was a passenger in the stolen vehicle. Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker ruled that the sheriff’s deputy whose patrol car struck the teen will not be charged in his death. Becker said he did plan to charge the teen driving the stolen vehicle with fleeing and eluding causing death and conducting a criminal enterprise.
