Jasmine used in perfume by two major beautycompanies was picked by children, the BBC can reveal.

An investigation into last summer's perfume supplychains found flowers picked in fields where we saw.children working were ending up in the supply chainsfor global brands L'Oréal and Estée Lauder.

All the luxury perfume brands claim to have zero tolerance on child labour.

L'Oréal, Lancôme's owner, said: "Whenever an issuearises, L'Oréal works proactively to identify theunderlying causes and the way to resolve the issue."

Estée Lauder, Aerin Beauty's owner, said it hadcontacted its suppliers to investigate this very serious matter.
