Abuse & Trauma Recovery & the No-Contact issue...

Recovering from #ChildhoodAbuse #ChildhoodTrauma #CPTSD #PTSD & #DomesticViolence can sometimes feel next to impossible, confusing, and fraught with anxiety.

How does a woman who’s escaped a violent partner deal with having to share custody of a child?

How does an adult who was abused (as a child) by a family member cope with that family member being a part of the family unit still?

The question and issue of maintaining contact with somebody who abused you, and/or those family members is a common issue that people face.

For the purposes of this video, I am referring specifically to cases of physical abuse, and SA, CSA.

The bottom line is every situation, and every human being is an individual and nobody can tell you what the “right” way is.

There are definitely ways that people’s nervous systems and brains can more commonly react & respond.

Having to navigate through this challenge, feelings of guilt and confusion, dealing with a very flawed “in-justice” system and feeling pressured by family members or society is adding insult to injury.

Healing is possible and working to transcend any past experience, would be the absolute best outcome. If it were that easy for humans to do, we would probably be living in a world with no violence or abuse.

Check out this video with some thoughts and to your health, healing, vitality, and joy!
