Day 108 of Sobriety: Ren & Liv Sangster - I'm In Love | New Challenge: Quit Smoking&Start Stretching
@RenMakesStuff @livsangster @RenMakesMusic
Today, on Day 108 of my sobriety journey, I listened to Ren & Liv Sangster's "I'm In Love." Before the music, I talked about my new challenge starting tomorrow: quitting smoking and beginning a stretching routine. To support this, I’ll follow my "Go To" 8-week training program, working out six times a week, just like the stretching.
I’ve decided to change my routine a bit. I will wake up at 6 am to do my training and stretching first thing in the morning. Instead of short-form videos, I’ll create long-form videos documenting my workouts and stretching routines. To ensure I stay on track, I’ll start recording and editing around 6-6:30 pm, allowing me to go to bed early and fully focus on training, stretching, and taking care of my clients.
I have to admit, I’m not very motivated to quit smoking, but maybe I don’t need to be. Let’s see if sharing this challenge with you helps me stick to it, just like my sobriety videos. While I’m doing this for myself, a little support from friends is always beneficial.
Ren & Liv Sangster's track was incredible. It took me on a ride through my relapse, capturing that exact feeling. I was completely immersed in the music, experiencing a journey between good and bad. It reminded me of the highs but also the harsh reality of doing something I don’t want to do. This song was a poignant reminder and reality check of who I am, where I’ve been, and where I could end up if I don’t take care of myself.
