1 dead after IDF and Egyptian soldiers exchange fire

Israeli and Egyptian troops exchanged fire at their shared border near Rafah, resulting in the death of an Egyptian soldier.

The Egyptian military confirmed the incident and announced their own investigation. This exchange follows an Israeli airstrike on a Rafah refugee camp, killing at least 45 Palestinians and injuring 60.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the strike a “tragic mistake” and pledged an investigation, the U.S. Sun reported.
