Brad McKee, powerful testimony of a father, motivated to become a better version of himself, guided by a strong determination and a love for excellence, but knew something was missing. Reconnecting with his church and Father Mark helped to guide him to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. A miraculous transition, saved by grace. The love and guidance of marine buddies, an amazing wife, the love of his family, and a caring church, helped Brad see his need for salvation and the new man he would become.
Brad joined the Marine Corps after 9/11 and went to combat in Fallujah Iraq at the end of the big push with 1st Battalion 6th Marines. Before his second tour in Ramadi, Brad was selected to join STA Platoon (Surveillance and Target Acquisition) and was later selected to Scout Sniper School. upon Graduation, his next tour was in the wild west of Ramadi. After the Marine Corps, Brad went back to college at Southeastern and started Crossfit Hammond, motivated to help other marine combat veterans, he started Disposable Heroes Project, raising money to help veterans in need. In an effort to cope with his own combat challenges, Brad made the difficult decision to sell his custom replica .308 sniper rifle to buy his first welding machine and transition into a more productive future. His first welder, led to his second welder, then he started to get good, which led him to start Steel Gun Welding and Fabrication and grew it into a thriving business in Hammond, Louisiana.
He questioned his eternity, which led him to make some major changes. Getting more involved with his Catholic Faith was pivotal to understand God's plan for his life.
Please enjoy this conversation, may the Lord inspire and motivate others to turn from your sin and turn to God for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.
