Cross-chain communication projects enhanced usability. New services like Maple and Centrifuge brought DeFi concepts to traditional finance.

The total value of RWAs in DeFi doubled so far in 2024. Tokenized Treasuries, like the Ondo Short-Term US Government Bond Fund, emerged as a key driver. Investors were likely drawn to riskless debt due to rising interest rates and collapsing yields in DeFi.

The Future of RWAs
