Police officers in Pattaya, Thailand, have arrested three security guards from an entertainment venue who were caught on camera violently assaulting two foreign tourists in the Pattaya Soi 6 area. The incident, which occurred on May 26, was widely shared on social media, drawing significant criticism and sparking discussions about the appropriateness and brutality of the guards' actions.

Two video clips showed the guards attacking the tourists, with one guard delivering a punch and jump-kick, causing the tourist in a white shirt to fall to the ground, followed by further kicks. Another tourist in a gray shirt who attempted to help was also beaten until he fell unconscious. The incident unfolded in front of both Thai and foreign onlookers, with some local women attempting to intervene.

Witnesses stated that the altercation began over a disputed bar bill, with one tourist refusing to pay and using profanities. The bar called the security guards, and the situation quickly escalated into violence. The guards, identified as Mr. Ball, Mr. Tom, and Mr. Ice, admitted their actions were excessive and expressed remorse.

The police have taken legal action, emphasizing that the role of security guards is to protect tourists, not cause harm. The incident has been a major blow to Pattaya's image as a tourist-friendly city.
