The history of America starts with Hugh's family, and that evidence is on full display at the Marietta, Ohio Campus Martius Museum. And more, it is written in stone in the very historically important Mound Cemetery's tombstones filled with the bones of Hugh's ancestors.
After a short talk about Hugh's murdered wives, material we have covered many times, we go into this astonishing history that made not only the Northwest Territory, but also America herself at Boston. We talk about the book Putnam borrowed from General Heath that enabled him to secure Boston, and how this is his murdered wife and relative of Sarah Heath Palin, Terry Heath. We talk about Montgomery Street and Nahum Ward and how Montgomery Ward did all it could to attack Hugh after the murder of his wife. We mention the origin of the name Buckminster, and the ancestors of Buckminster Fuller buried in the cemetery. This is also Sarah Margaret Fuller Ossoli who was Edgar Allan Poe's literary critic. Ward built the Unitarian Church where Ralph WALDO Emerson sometimes preached, and how Waldo and Williams are simultaneously a very important part of Hugh's life, and the Marietta settlement was saved from starvation by another Williams.
We discuss George Bush's family, Prescott who is buried there as well as Andrews, Butler, Cook, and others. Andrews raped Hugh, and Cook was the family of Hugh's second wife. We talk about the relevance of his family, Gardner which also was present in the settlement and early history of Ohio. We also talk about Harris, who is buried here, as well as Rathbone. Now Clara Harris was engaged to Henry Rathbone and sat in the Presidential box with him at Ford's Theatre. These families are all buried near the Booth family, also right in Mound Cemetery.
As Hugh mentions, DuPont stole his trademark, Bottomline and the DuPont in nearby Parkersburg sits on land once owned by George Washington, all very near Burning Springs where Rathbone struck oil.
