Don Wahr - Manistee Legend

If you want to know anything about the last 100 years in Manistee, skip the museum and just ask Don. On this episode I talk to a local legend. Don Wahr. It's an end of an era so to speak. Wahr Hardware has been in continuous operation for over 100 years and Don has been a part of it for his entire life. The time I spend with Don during the interview was simply not enough. We could have talked for hours more. He has many many many many stories and we only touched on but a few. My words can't do justice to what I felt listening to him try and purge years of Wahr Hardware and Manistee History. Don is a gem, a good human and his presence as a fixture in downtown will be greatly missed.
