Tandoori Chicken Biryani

" INGREDIENTS:
1 kg Chicken
4 cups basmati rice(wash & soak in water for 20 minute)
1 n half tbsp gingergarlic paste
Half pack Tandoori masala(I used shan)
Half pack Bombay Biryani masala( by shan)
1 tsp salt.
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp imli chutney (optional, but gives a nice kick)
4 large tomatoes chopped
1 cup thick yogurt
3-10 green chillies(add accordingly)
1 cup oil
Yellow/orange food color
Fill a pot with water, bring it to boil, add rice and boil for
8-10 mins then drain the water and set them aside (1 boil
them 70% means they are not totally soft, later will cook
in damm)
In a pot add oil, chicken, gingergarlic paste saute, then
add all the mentioned spices and Half of the chillies imli
chutney.
Cook for 8 mins. Then add tomatoes and yogurt
remaining chillies ,cook for 7-8 mins then cover and cook
for 15 mins till tomatoes are soft. Stir occasionally.
Jncover and cook on medium heat till oil separates anc
gravy is ready.
Now Assemble
Add 2-3 tbsp oil from the gravy, add a layer of rice, then
add gravy, then another rice layer. Add food color in
between the layers
Repeat till the rice and gravy ends.
Top it with chillies, coriander, mint, lemon, fried onion
Cover the lid with a cloth give dum at lowest flame for
10-12 mins.
