Philippians 2:5-11,
[Jesus, poured out.]
Isaiah 53:12, Jesus, poured out His soul and gave up His life
Leviticus 17:11, 17:14, the life sustaining elements IN the blood
Hebrews 9:22, 'without the shedding of blood is no remission.'

[Jesus died for the sin of man.]
Isaiah 53:12, 'he was numbered with the transgressors' and '[He] made intercession for the transgressors'. Concerning the latter part, Jesus was the last high priest.
Luke 22:20, 2 Corinthians 5:21, imputation (example: placing the sinner's account (debt) onto Jesus' account, and Jesus being sinless, was wholly qualified to take it over)

[Jesus died for the forgiveness of sins.]

Romans 6:4-6, the new believer identifies with the death of Christ: crucified, buried, and raised with Him. From that point onward, an act of the will is implied. That is: if the believer will continue on in the righteousness of Christ ('henceforth we [SHOULD] not serve sin').
