CTP Gaming - Final Fantasy XIII - Is it REALLY *THAT* Bad?

I played the introduction to the game after my Final Fantasy XII stream (available on demand) but so far I don't see why the game gets so much hate. Are there cringe moments? Yes. But why is this considered the Nickelback of Final Fantasy titles?
