Today we open some Detective Conan TCG packs. I have been looking forward to opening some of these myself after watching several other channels open the newly released booster boxes. The boosters are a bit pricey at the moment so I picked up some loose packs instead for about a quarter of the price. I just learned there is a Conan starter deck so I will see if i can get my hands on one of those for a future video. These cards are very nice. The print is clean, the card stock is slightly thicker than regular Yu-Gi-Oh. The cards are also larger than Yu-Gi-Oh cards. The print on the commons almost looks like it has a texture to it when turning the cards in the light but they are smooth to the touch. There were a lot of doubles in the 17 pack sample I opened but not a terrible ratio based on the size of the set. I do have a long way to go to complete both commons and the rares. The Rares look great. There are multiple styles for the rare cards. At several points I thought I was pulling different sub sets of Rare cards but that was not the case. As usual cutting these open seems to be the way to go. Those designated tear divots never seem to work for me. The pack material is thicker than Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh but not MetaZoo or bootleg thick if that makes sense. I did have a few cards with dings on them. It was only on the Rares and in the same place on both cards so I believe that damage happened before the cards were packaged. It was not too severe and flattened out clean.. Speaking of flat all of the common cards were perfectly flat and all of the rare cards were warped. It was not noticeable while opening the cards but stacking up my doubles in order with rares on the back made it very noticeable as there was a clear bend and gap between the commons on top of the rare stack. All that being said I will be getting more of these. I like what I received overall and I am looking forward to opening more. Thank you for watching. Take it easy.
