Dear Pastor Bob: I was wondering if you could speak on marriage help for men.  I've been married over 20 years.  It seems after we got married and had the children, my wife has essentially checked out of the marriage relationship. She is more of a supervisor to me now instead of a loving partner. All she is concerned about is that I keep working at my job and do my chores around the house. Other than that, she doesn't talk to me and has no interest in me. When I give guidance to the children, or need them to do something, she disagrees with me most times in front of the children. I don't want an argument in front of the children, so I just walk away.  I think the children don't respect me because of this. I've tried talking to my wife about this and we've gone to counseling several times, but she just doesn't seem to understand. For the most part, she is a good mother, but I would have been happier if I would have never gotten married. I've been praying for almost 20 years, but it hasn't gotten much better. I was expecting to have a close, loving relationship instead of a long prison sentence. From the marriages I see around me, and men's comments on the internet, I think many men feel the same way. I don't want a divorce, but I've been pretty lonely and miserable for many years. What can I do if I am stuck in an unloving marriage?
