Shootout in Harrisburg Caught on Camera: Two Dead, Three Injured

A recent shootout in Harrisburg has left two people dead and three others injured, with the incident being captured by a security camera. The Harrisburg Police have provided an update on the incident, which started at the intersection of Chestnut St. and S. 16th St.

Police Commissioner Thomas Carter detailed how officers were flagged down by one of the gunshot victims while heading to the scene. Upon arrival, officers provided first aid until an ambulance arrived. They discovered a vehicle with an open door and a gun in the backseat, along with AR-15 and shotgun casings.

Four victims were located at the scene, and a fifth victim later walked into a local hospital with gunshot wounds, reporting that they were shot during the same incident. The three injured individuals are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

Mayor Wanda Williams expressed her frustration with the ongoing gun violence in the city, sharing a poignant account of a victim's mother crying over the phone.
