Marilyn Mosby, the former top prosecutor in Baltimore, was sentenced to 12 months of house arrest, 100 hours of community service, and three years of supervised release after being convicted of fraud.

Mosby lied about financial hardship during the pandemic to purchase a beach house with federal funds. U.S. Attorney Erek Barron announced the sentencing, which also includes the forfeiture of 90% of the property bought with the fraudulent mortgage.

Mosby, 44, was found guilty of multiple felony charges across two trials, USA Today reported.
