Litte Terrier Can Amazingly Walk Backwards Up Stairs

For a long time, I had this idea in my head that dogs couldn’t naturally walk backwards. Supposedly, dogs have to be taught to walk backward. They won’t actually think to do it themselves. It was just one of those “facts” that someone told me once and stuck in my head for years. It turns out that that fact is definitely not true and there are plenty of videos that prove this idea to be completely false. That falsity all said, even with my knowing that it is true that dogs can walk backwards I never expected to see a dog walk backwards UP stairs. Shoot, I don’t even like walking backwards on stairs when I have to go down, much less up. This is one talented and brave little pup. Here at America’s Funniest Home Videos, we have tons of videos of dogs struggling just to go up stairs, especially puppies and little dogs. They tend to have trouble making the leap. So, we have seen plenty of dogs fight with stairs.

This terrier is super talented though. Not only can he go backwards, he confidently is able to move himself up a series of stairs where other dogs would have failed to go up them even facing forward. He deserves all of the praise that his mom gives him. I imagine that my little dog would turn around on the stairs before coming back up. Maybe I can train him to go up backwards. I wonder how you even discover that your dog has this talent. Look, I may be a simple blog writer but I found this to be pretty awesome and fun!
