Man In A Cardboard Box Sleds Directly Into A Street Light

There is something extremely appealing about turning items that are not winter sleds into sleds. We are talking anything from laundry baskets and swimming pool inner tubes to card board boxes and trash can lids. The dad in this video is using a large card board box for his faux-sled of choice. Like many not-sled items, it takes just a little bit more work to get going. You can see his struggle at the start of the clip when he can’t quite get going down the driveway.

The father is kind of hopping his sled along until he reaches a point where the box can start sliding down the hill. By the way, that is a ridiculous driveway right? Obviously, the house is up on a fairly steep hill, but that is one steep driveway. I definitely feel like my car would not get up that hill without croaking. That said, she is old and probably needs to be retired to great junkyard in the sky. As far as the driveway being a perfect pre-built hill for sledding, that is awesome. I admit to being a little jealous.

Maybe not too envious though. The dad in this video definitely takes a beating when he collides with the light pole at the bottom of the driveway. He might need a heating pad and some heavy couch time after that run. We do love his little toddler asking, “Daddy, what did you do?” several times while he wanders the street a little shaken up. It is very adorable. Props to dad for wearing a helmet during his sledding adventure. You never know what’s going to happen. The sunglasses seem a bit much though, this isn’t a Corey Hart music video.
