Eurovision is a continent-wide music competition meant to be fun and uplifting, but that has not stopped anti-Israel goons from trying to harass Israel’s contestant, Eden Golan. From protests in the streets of Malmo, Sweden, where the contest was held, to calls for boycotts and boos during her performance, efforts were widespread to cancel her and Israel.

But they failed. Israel finished a respectable 5 out of 27 countries, and received the maximum number of votes from 14 voting countries, showing that despite efforts to portray Israel as a pariah state, the silent majority refuses to capitulate to mob rule.
