Genesis 6:9-22:
This passage introduces Noah as a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and one who walked faithfully with God. Observing the corruption and violence in the world, God decides to destroy all creatures with a flood. However, He chooses to save Noah and his family because of Noah's righteousness. God instructs Noah to build an ark of gopher wood, providing specific dimensions and details for its construction, including rooms inside, a roof, and coating it inside and out with pitch. God also tells Noah that He will establish a covenant with him and that Noah, his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives are to enter the ark, along with pairs of all creatures (male and female) to keep them alive during the flood. Noah is also instructed to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away. Noah obeys all that God commands him to do.
Psalm 2:
Psalm 2 is a royal psalm that reflects on the rebellion of earthly kings against God's anointed ruler. It begins by questioning why the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain against the LORD and His anointed. The psalm describes how God mocks their rebellion and asserts His appointed king, who will inherit all nations. The king declares God’s decree of being His son, to whom He will give the nations as an inheritance. The psalm concludes with a warning to the kings and rulers to serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling, advising them to kiss the Son (pay homage) lest He be angry and they be destroyed. It ends with a blessing for all who take refuge in Him.

Proverbs 2:16-19:
These verses in Proverbs describe the benefits of wisdom in delivering one from the adulterous woman who seduces with smooth words. Wisdom will save from the wayward woman with her seductive speech, who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God. Her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead. None who go to her return or attain the paths of life, emphasizing the moral and spiritual dangers of infidelity.

Matthew 2:13:
In this verse, after the Magi have left, an angel of the Lord appears to Joseph in a dream. The angel warns him to take Mary and Jesus and flee to Egypt because King Herod is going to search for the child to kill him. This directive from the angel initiates the flight of the Holy Family to Egypt, fulfilling what was spoken by the prophets that out of Egypt God called His son.

Luke 2:39:
This verse briefly describes Mary and Joseph returning to Nazareth with Jesus after they had performed everything according to the Law of the Lord concerning him. This includes the events of Jesus' circumcision, the purification rites required by the Law, and his presentation at the temple in Jerusalem. The family's return to Nazareth marks the beginning of Jesus' upbringing in Galilee, setting the stage for His later life and ministry.
