ANNA HAINING SWAN (Bates) was a giantess; her father had emigrated from Dumfries, Scotland, to Nova Scotia; her mother was a Nova Scotian whose ancestors came from the Orkneys. When she was 5 years old, Anna, was 4 feet 8 inches tall and weighed over 100 pounds; at 22 she was 7 feet 6 inches tall and weighed 350 pounds.
Old archive photos of The Great Sheffield Flood - a flood that devastated parts of Sheffield, England, on 11 March 1864, when the Dale Dyke Dam broke at night as its reservoir was being filled for the first time. MUSIC
Fiona Buchet is a professional singer and songwriter, as well as being a wife, mother of two teens and joint partner in a business she runs with her husband, Louis.
She is a hero, fighting for what is right, brave in her opposition to hurt in all its forms.
She is powered by her inbuilt 'relationship with Spirit and Nature', and says she 'dedicates her life to exploring the mechanisms of All That Is', as well as expressing her gift, which is to perform live and, more recently, compose and produce her own music.
Fiona writes thoughtful, lilting and rhythm-based ambient/electronica music at her home studio in Wellington, New Zealand. Her music has been compared to Kate Bush, Massive Attack and Billie Eilish, and has been described as 'atmospheric and slightly disturbing... in a good way!'
