Like I said in the previous episode before episode before, accounts on the history and way of living of igorots in pre-Hispanic and Hispanic times are so few that sometimes one might wonder if igorots even exists in the olden times. For the record they do. But they were at times considered a footnote of history that very few passages or talks about them in the modern history books. At times, conceptions about them are wrong. And the worse part is that those misconceptions even found their way to the education sector that if the teacher won’t do the necessary research to very these information, he would be teaching he/she would be teaching those wrong notions to the children.

With the advent of IPEd or Indigenous Peoples Education, I am hoping that these will change that Igorots here and abroad will try to dig in deeper to learn about their culture and to know more of the ways their ancestors lived.
