Federal prosecutors at Marilyn Mosby trial: Nick Mosby 'repeatedly' lied on taxes

Baltimore City Council President Nick Mosby’s testimony in his ex-wife’s federal mortgage fraud trial continued Monday, and prosecutors claimed they believed Nick Mosby had lied on previous tax filings.

Cross-examination remained contentious at times Monday, especially when Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron Zelinsky mistakenly called Nick Mosby a defendant. Nick Mosby was called as a defense witness on Jan. 25 in Marilyn Mosby’s mortgage fraud trial where she’s accused of lying on mortgage applications when she bought two vacation homes in Florida.

Prosecutors claim Marilyn Mosby failed to disclose a $45,000 tax lien on her Baltimore home when she bought the two properties in Florida and claim she lied when she told lenders she would not use the homes as rental properties.
