The Great Commission: A War Cry for Christian Kingdom Warriors

Why must we go to war against all the evil in this world?

1. COMMAND from our COMMANDER: Jesus spoke The Great Commission.
Read The Great Commission: Matthew 28: 18-20 NKJV

2. LOVE for those who are defenseless: The Gospel is a rescue mission.
a. Luke 19: 10 Jesus came to save the lost.
b. Mark 16: 15 Jesus came to save souls.
c. Stop people from running into a trap.

3. TRUTH to lead others to freedom: Don’t just free them but give them freedom forever.
a. John 14: 6 Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
b. John 8: 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
c. Galatians 5: 1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not
let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
d. 2 Corinthians 3: 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
freedom.

4. NEW to hold onto peace: Help them acknowledge, accept, and appreciate their new freedom.
a. 2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have
passed away.
b. John 14: 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you;

5. WAR to bring others to peace: As Kingdom Warriors, we fight daily.
a. Ecclesiastes 3: 8 A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.

6. WARRIORS in God’s Army, with God’s protection.
a. Jeremiah 51: 20 You are My battle-ax and weapons of war.
b. Joel 3: 9 Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men.
c. Ephesians 6: 11 Put on the whole armor of God.

7. ENEMY in common: You can’t go to war without identifying the enemy.
a. Ephesians 6: 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of
wickedness in the heavenly places.
b. WE ARE FIGHTING THE DEVIL

8. GLORY for our KING: We fight for Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior.
a. Psalm 96: 3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. [ALL
means ALL… therefore ALL means we must go to war to save EVERYONE. We are here to
take prisoners of war!]

9. WINNING TEAM: Take Enemy Territory
a. It won’t be easy. Read 2 Timothy 2: 3
b. BUT it will be worth it. Read Revelation 12: 10, 11
