The party system is completely corrupted from the top down

"I’m running as an independent in the next general election. I’ve come to the conclusion that you can either have an MP [gesturing towards the Houses of Parliament] who represents a [political] party in your constituency, or you can have an MP who represents the people in Parliament – but you can’t have both....
