The young girl who attacked Kaylee Gain will not face adult charges, following claims in court that she was allegedly bullied by her victim.

This development follows a statement from an anonymous officer alleging that 16-year-old Kaylee initiated the fight near Hazelwood East High School in St Louis, Missouri on March 8, which subsequently went viral. The 15-year-old assailant Maurnice has been charged with felony assault and is currently detained at the St. Louis Juvenile Detention Center. A video recorded by a bystander shows Gain being brutally beaten, with her head slammed onto the concrete. Gain is now suffering from long-term brain damage but thankfully survived.
