Zinger Burger Recipe:

Ingredients:

For the chicken:

• 6 chicken thigh pieces
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 1 teaspoon red chili powder
• 1/2 teaspoon white pepper powder
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon mustard powder
• 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
• 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
• 1 teaspoon ginger powder
• 1 tablespoon chili sauce

For the coating:

• 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup corn flour
• 1/3 teaspoon black pepper powder
• 1/3 teaspoon paprika powder
• 1/3 teaspoon salt
• cold water

For frying:

• Vegetable oil

For the burger sauce:

• 3/4 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup ketchup
• 2 teaspoons mustard paste
• 1 teaspoon tabasco sauce

For assembling:

• Burger buns
• Lettuce leaves

Instructions:

1. Marinate the Chicken:
• Add the chicken thigh pieces, buttermilk, red chili powder, white pepper powder, black pepper powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, mustard powder, chili sauce, mixed herbs and salt in a bowl. Mix well. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours.

2. Prepare the Coating:
• Add all-purpose flour, corn flour, black pepper powder, paprika powder and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
• Pour the cold water into a medium bowl.

3. Coat and Fry the Chicken: :
• Take the marinated chicken piece and dredge it in the flour mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.
• Dip the flour-coated chicken into the cold water for a few seconds.
• After dipping in water, dredge the chicken again in the flour mixture, coating it for the second time. Press gently to adhere the flour mixture to the chicken.
• Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat.
• Carefully drop the coated chicken piece into the hot oil and fry on medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes, or until it is golden brown and cooked through.
• Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

4. Prepare the Burger Sauce:
• Add mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard paste, and tabasco sauce in a small bowl.
• Mix until well combined. Set aside.

5. Toast the burger buns:
• Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
• Place the buns, cut side down in the pan.
• Toast the buns for a minute, or until they are lightly golden brown and crispy.
• Once toasted to your liking, remove the buns from the pan.

6. Assemble the burger:
• Place the bottom bun on a chopping board.
• Spread some burger sauce on it.
• Place the Lettuce leaves and fried chicken on top.
• Drizzle burger sauce over the fried chicken.
• Cover with the top bun.
• Serve with french fries and enjoy!
