Finally, the answer is revealed. How exactly did Jesus fulfill the Old Covenant. In the last few live videos, we went on a journey of asking this question, and the comments have been wonderful! But, this particular topic isn't usually addressed specifically, even though it holds a key to understanding the work of Christ, the epistles, and especially the New Covenant. This New Covenant that we are in now, the way of faith not works, will be the next avenue we travel down. If we didn't know the stipulations of the old covenant, we definitely don't know the terms of the New! Well, we do, and we live it, but we just haven't heard it put like this before.
- - - - - - - VERSES that show how Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant: ‭Deuteronomy 28:1-3 "Now it shall come to pass, if you [1] diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, [2] to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country... "
Leviticus 26:3-4
" If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit... "
Deut 7:12
" Then it shall come to pass, because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them, that the Lord your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers."
See also: Deut 15:5, 30:1-20 (word of faith)
‭Exodus 19:5-6
"Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation."
‭II Kings 18:11-12 NKJV‬
"Then the king of Assyria carried Israel away captive to Assyria... because they did not obey the voice of the Lord their God, but transgressed His covenant and all that Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded; and they would neither hear nor do them."
(search scripture for "obey voice" and see how often obeying the voice AND following the commands are mentioned. And then thank the Lord that Jesus was the only one who ever followed it perfectly, fully filling all of the requirements, fulfilling the covenant which had been come to be known as "law" after generations of inability to fulfill it. And check Jer 31,Eze 36, Isa about God promising the New Covenant that will not be like the old... Thank Jesus!)

Now the question remains,
What did this covenant secure, and how does that play into the New Covenant?

(and the blessings go on. But if they didn't, they will experience all the curses that followed in chapter 28. And we see exactly the experience they had.) But... Jesus. PTL!
